Ah, Union Square. Growing up in SF, that meant the wonderland of Gumps, high end hotels, and an oasis of green (also, Quantas Airlines where I got a real stuffed koala as a kid! gulp).

On the East Coast, it means a serious hub of shopping and traffic as well, where the city connects from all points.
